About me
I have been programming since I was about twelve, self-taught, starting with C++. At sixteen I began a three-year apprenticeship as a Fachinformatiker für Anwendungsentwicklung (Germany's vocational degree for software developers) and have worked as a software developer ever since: mostly backend, plus full-stack web, mobile apps, and AWS infrastructure. On the side, I co-founded and built WhosGone, a German obituary platform.
In my spare time I go as low as it gets: a CHIP-8 emulator, small hobby-OS experiments, building PCs, NAS boxes, and home networks. I wrote FAT12 because the book I wanted didn't exist: a hands-on guide that takes FAT12 from reading the first sector to formatting a volume, step by step, in C you type yourself.
